         complications, and vaccination;
   2.  Describe laboratory testing for mumps;
   3.  Explain reporting requirements for mumps;
   4.  Identify means of controlling mumps in the school and healthcare settings.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Nurses and other persons interested in this subject matter

​PURPOSE:  Health care personnel will enhance their knowledge of heart palpitations, both those that are benign and those that may indicate a more serious health issue.

​OBJECTIVES:  Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to: 

1.      Discuss heart palpitations in general, including signs and symptoms; common triggers of heart palpitations; diagnosing causes of
         heart palpitations; and treating heart palpitations.
2.      Explain how the heart and heart’s electrical system works and how interruption may trigger heart palpitations.
3.      Identify more serious causes of heart palpitations, diagnosis and treatment options.
